AT A GLANCE

RESISTANCE · REGULATION · ADAPTATION
Understanding why the body no longer responds as expected.

NeuroReset® is an analytical framework used within Décodage Biologique Clinique® when a case requires a more specific examination of the mechanisms of resistance, regulation and adaptation that may contribute to the persistence or evolution of the situation.

When symptoms persist, when a treatment produces only a partial response, when an improvement does not last, or when the body appears to react disproportionately to certain demands, the analysis no longer focuses solely on what is present or absent. It also seeks to understand how the body adapts, what it is still able to compensate for, what may be sustaining the resistance, and at what point that adaptation ceases to be sufficiently effective.

Understanding what resists
to better guide what comes next.

WHEN THIS FRAMEWORK IS USED

Persistent or fluctuating symptoms · incomplete response to treatment · temporary improvement · difficult recovery · fatigue · disrupted sleep · cognitive or autonomic fluctuations · the sense that the body continues to function, but at the cost of increasing adaptive effort.

WHAT I ANALYSE

Symptom chronology · treatments and observed responses · tolerance · sleep · recovery · autonomic activation · metabolic context · rhythms · aggravating or protective factors · interactions that may help explain why a situation persists, fluctuates or remains resistant despite the care already undertaken.

THE OBJECTIVE

To identify the mechanisms that still appear to be compensated, those that are becoming less effective, and those that may be sustaining the situation, in order to prioritise the questions, avenues and elements to be discussed with healthcare professionals.

Analytical framework used within Décodage Biologique Clinique® · resistance · regulation · adaptation · trajectory · observed responses · analysis integrated into the case review

Some situations persist not because no response has been provided, but because the body continues to adapt, compensate or resist in ways that have become difficult to understand.

A treatment may have been appropriately chosen, an improvement may have occurred, and yet the situation may remain unstable, fluctuating or incompletely resolved.

NeuroReset® intervenes precisely at this level: when the analysis requires a closer examination of the mechanisms of resistance, regulation and adaptation that appear to contribute to the persistence or evolution of the situation.

01 The body can continue to function while compensating more extensively

A reassuring result or an apparently preserved function does not always mean that equilibrium is being maintained without additional effort.

Some mechanisms may remain effective while requiring greater adaptation, recovery or compensation to maintain a level of stability that still remains compatible with normal findings.

The analysis therefore seeks to understand not only the observed result, but also what the body appears to be mobilising in order to maintain it.

02 A partial response may reveal a mechanism of resistance

When a course of care improves certain elements while other symptoms persist, the issue is not necessarily to conclude that the treatment is ineffective.

It may be necessary to examine what responds, what does not, what improves temporarily, and what reappears when compensatory mechanisms are placed under strain again.

This distinction may provide useful information about the way the situation is being maintained over time.

03 Variations matter as much as isolated values

A situation may remain difficult to understand when data are viewed only as isolated measurements.

NeuroReset® also examines fluctuations, recovery times, responses to particular demands, periods of improvement, relapses and changes in tolerance.

These variations may reveal a regulatory dynamic that individual results do not always show when considered separately.

04 This is where NeuroReset® comes into play

NeuroReset® is neither a standalone consultation nor an additional treatment added to the medical pathway.

It is an analytical framework used within Décodage Biologique Clinique® when understanding the case requires a more specific examination of mechanisms of resistance, regulation, recovery and adaptation.

The objective is to identify what still appears to be compensated, what is becoming less effective, what may be sustaining the situation, and which questions or avenues deserve to be discussed with healthcare professionals.

IN SUMMARY

Some situations cannot be understood solely through what is abnormal. They can also be understood through the way the body resists, compensates, recovers and adapts over time.

ANALYTICAL FRAMEWORK

When NeuroReset®
becomes relevant

NeuroReset® — resistance, regulation and adaptation
HYPNOCORPE® · NEURORESET®
01

When symptoms persist despite care

A treatment or strategy may be medically coherent while certain symptoms, fluctuations or difficulties with recovery continue to persist.

02

When improvement occurs but does not last

An improvement may appear and then diminish, certain symptoms may return, or the response may remain partial despite adjustments already made.

03

When the body appears to require increasing compensation

Results may remain reassuring while fatigue, difficult recovery, disrupted sleep, cognitive fluctuations or autonomic manifestations suggest that adaptation has become increasingly demanding.

04

When the situation fluctuates without an immediately apparent pattern

Certain manifestations may appear, disappear, change in intensity or frequency depending on the period, the demands placed on the body, sleep, recovery or other elements of the medical history.

05

When the question becomes one of regulation

The analysis then seeks to understand what the body is still compensating for, what is becoming less effective, what appears to be sustaining the resistance and how these mechanisms evolve over time.

WHAT NEURORESET® IS NOT

NeuroReset® is neither a standalone treatment, an additional medical consultation, nor a method intended to “reset” the brain. It is an analytical framework used within Décodage Biologique Clinique® when the case requires a more specific examination of mechanisms of resistance, regulation, recovery and adaptation.

THE NAME

Why the term
“NeuroReset®”?

Within the HypnoCorpe® approach, the term NeuroReset® refers to an analytical framework centred on three dimensions: resistance, regulation and adaptation.

It becomes relevant when a situation cannot be understood solely on the basis of what should theoretically occur, but also requires an examination of the way the body has adapted to a constraint, a change, a treatment or a situation that has become persistent.

The term Neuro does not imply that every form of resistance is neurological in origin, nor that every symptom should be explained by the brain. It reflects the fact that mechanisms of regulation and adaptation involve continuous interactions between the nervous system, physiological responses, behaviour and the biological environment in which they operate.

The term Reset does not refer to a literal “resetting” of the body or the brain either. It describes the analytical point at which a response that has become persistent is re-examined in order to understand what continues to sustain it, what it may initially have enabled the body to compensate for, and under what conditions a different response might become possible.

NeuroReset® therefore does not consist of automatically attributing a symptom to the nervous system, nor does it claim to biologically reprogramme or reset a patient.

It involves examining why a response persists even though the situation that initially triggered it may have changed, why certain systems remain difficult to regulate, and why an adaptation that was initially coherent may, over time, become insufficient, demanding or incompatible with the patient’s current state.

The objective is to distinguish what still represents an adaptive response to the present situation, what appears to correspond to an adaptation that has become persistent, what may continue to sustain that resistance, and which questions need to be brought back into the overall analysis of the case.

NeuroReset® is not a standalone service. This framework is integrated into Décodage Biologique Clinique® when it provides a relevant interpretation of the situation and when the elements within the case justify its use.

THE MISSION, IN DETAIL

What NeuroReset®
actually analyses

01 Scope of application

NeuroReset® is an analytical framework used when a patient’s situation cannot be understood solely on the basis of the presence or absence of a medical abnormality, but also requires an examination of the way the body regulates, compensates and adapts over time.

It may become relevant when a symptom persists despite the apparent correction of what seemed to explain it, when a response to treatment remains partial or unstable, when a biological change does not produce the expected evolution, or when a situation appears to be sustained by several regulatory mechanisms that have become interdependent.

The patient is therefore not necessarily without a diagnosis, treatment or medical explanation.

A condition may have been identified, a treatment may be appropriate, and yet certain mechanisms of persistence, resistance or adaptation may remain insufficiently understood.

The common denominator is not a particular symptom. It is the existence of a discrepancy between what should theoretically change and what actually occurs.

02 What the analysis actually takes into account

NeuroReset® does not consist of attributing a symptom to the brain, stress or the nervous system by default.

The analysis examines the interactions that may contribute to the persistence of a response: symptom evolution, physiological context, treatments received, observed responses, sleep, activity, adaptive behaviours, relevant biological variations, environmental constraints and factors that may have progressively altered regulatory mechanisms.

It seeks in particular to understand:

  • what preceded the onset or worsening of a response;
  • the adaptations put in place by the body;
  • what those adaptations may have enabled it to compensate for;
  • what now appears to contribute to their persistence;
  • what has changed without producing the expected evolution.

These elements are never interpreted in isolation.

They are placed within the patient’s overall medical and biological chronology in order to determine whether they represent a plausible hypothesis, a simple associated factor or an element that remains insufficiently documented.

03 Resistance

Within NeuroReset®, the term resistance refers neither to a patient’s refusal nor to psychological opposition.

It describes a situation in which a response persists despite a change in context that might theoretically have allowed it to evolve.

Depending on the situation, this resistance may involve a symptom, a physiological response, a behavioural adaptation, tolerance, a metabolic response or the way several systems interact.

The analysis then seeks to determine what continues to sustain the observed response.

Resistance is never regarded as an explanation in itself. It is a phenomenon to be analysed.

04 Regulation

The body continuously maintains dynamic equilibria.

Sleep, energy, appetite, responses to stress, temperature, and metabolic, cardiovascular, hormonal or immune responses depend on regulatory mechanisms that interact with one another.

In certain complex situations, the question is therefore not simply whether a biological value is normal or abnormal.

It may be necessary to examine how several systems respond simultaneously and how this organisation has evolved over time.

NeuroReset® therefore seeks to distinguish between:

  • an isolated variation;
  • a coherent physiological response;
  • a temporary compensation;
  • an adaptation that has become persistent;
  • an interaction that may contribute to the persistence of the situation.
05 Adaptation

A biological or behavioural response may be entirely coherent within a given context.

It may enable the body to cope with an infection, a hormonal change, a treatment, an energy restriction, disrupted sleep, a period of physiological stress or another significant change in its environment.

The difficulty arises when the response that initially served an adaptive function persists after the context has changed, or when it progressively becomes more demanding for other systems.

The NeuroReset® analysis therefore does not automatically regard a persistent adaptation as pathological.

It seeks to understand:

  • why it appeared;
  • what it enabled;
  • why it appears to persist;
  • whether the current context still justifies this response;
  • which elements might allow its regulation to be documented more effectively.
06 What “Reset” actually means

The term Reset does not mean that the brain or the body can literally be “reset”.

It refers neither to neurological reprogramming nor to a technique intended to erase a biological response.

Within NeuroReset®, the term describes a change in the level of analysis.

When the usual interpretation of a situation is no longer sufficient, the objective is to revisit the entire sequence: what triggered the response, what sustained it, the successive adaptations, the factors that changed and those that may still be acting.

The “reset” is therefore analytical: it means moving beyond an interpretation that has become too narrow in order to re-examine the overall organisation of the observed response.

07 Putting the mechanisms to the test

As with Décodage Biologique Clinique®, NeuroReset® reasoning does not begin with a presumed mechanism that then needs to be confirmed.

Each hypothesis must be tested against the chronology, the available data, treatments, the responses actually observed and any elements that may contradict it.

A hypothesis involving dysregulation, persistent adaptation or resistance is retained only if it helps explain a coherent part of the patient’s trajectory.

It must also be distinguished from what represents an association, a theoretical possibility or a mechanism that remains insufficiently documented.

The objective is not to attribute every symptom to a regulatory mechanism. It is to determine whether this level of analysis genuinely adds something to the understanding of the case.

08 Scientific foundations

When NeuroReset® is used, the analysis draws on relevant scientific evidence concerning, in particular, neurophysiology, regulatory systems, physiological adaptation, sleep, and metabolic, endocrine, autonomic or behavioural mechanisms, according to the questions actually raised by the case.

Scientific publications, recommendations, pharmacological resources and institutional research are selected according to their relevance to the situation being examined.

They are never used to impose an explanatory model on the patient.

The analysis systematically distinguishes between:

  • what is established in the literature;
  • what is biologically plausible;
  • what constitutes a clinical hypothesis to be discussed;
  • what remains insufficiently documented.
09 The place of NeuroReset® within Décodage Biologique Clinique®

NeuroReset® is not a standalone service and is not offered separately.

It is one of the analytical frameworks that may be integrated into Décodage Biologique Clinique® when it helps clarify a specific question raised by the case.

Depending on the situation, it may be used alongside Brain Health Clinique®, Longevity Clinique® or other dimensions of the analysis.

It is used only when the available information genuinely justifies this level of reasoning.

A framework is never applied simply because it exists. It is used only when it helps provide a better understanding of a question that the case actually raises.

10 Limitations

NeuroReset® constitutes neither a medical consultation, a diagnosis, a prescription nor a method of neurological reprogramming.

It does not claim to directly correct a biological mechanism, modify a treatment or replace existing medical care.

When a hypothesis requires an examination, an investigation or a therapeutic modification, that decision remains the responsibility of the physician or appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

The role of the analysis is to identify plausible mechanisms, discrepancies, missing information and questions that may warrant further investigation.

INTEGRATION

NeuroReset® is not offered as a standalone service. It is used within Décodage Biologique Clinique® when the analysis indicates that mechanisms of resistance, regulation or adaptation represent a relevant dimension of the situation being examined.
